Sandberg A/S
I started working for Sandberg in 2001 and have since then been responsible for all their websites and related systems. Sandberg was bought in 2006 by the IT distributor EET Nordic A/S. I got hired by EET but continued to maintain and develop for Sandberg as a part of the EET group.
As lead developer of all Sandberg's websites, I have handled both architectural and graphical design, and programmed their systems from the ground up. The first versions of the primary website were based on ASP 3.0 and an MS Access database. Most everything has been changed since then, and now all systems are running ASP.NET 4.0, AJAX and LINQ with MS SQL Server.
www.sandberg.it
Sandberg's main profile on the web, featuring both product presentations, support information and downloads, as well as a webshop fully integrated with Sandberg's vendors, facilitating customer purchases to a local store of their choosing.
MeterMan
MeterMan was developed to help small and medium shops manage their Sandberg products, and organize them on racks.
It's based on AJAX for front end features and uses C# algorithms for business logic, on-the-fly PNG drawing etc.
Sandberg Guide
The Sandberg Guide is meant to help customers navigate the many new types of technologies and the corresponding cables used to connect them.
It's a versatile system, able to determine how to connect e.g. a sound system to a computer, even if it requires joining multiple adapters and cables.
www.sandberg.it
The page design was changed radically to create a sharper brand profile for the company. Sections of the website was created with very different graphical layouts, to create new profiles for different product series.

Series branding
A custom logo and other branding graphics is applied into the normal page layout to create a sub section of the website dedicated to the series.
Search and language
Search with "search as you type" functionality. Language and localization settings for 12 country and language combinations.
3D product rotation
Images of the product is shown as well as a 3D Flash presentation with mouse rotation on 3 axis and zoom functionality.
MeterMan
I developed this system to help small and medium shops manage their Sandberg products and organize them on the racks, that Sandberg delivers. Based heavily on AJAX for front end features, and using a special algorithm developed in C# for automatically calculating the best placement of the products.
The MeterMan system is intended for direct embedding on a vendors own website in an iframe, and is therefore kept in a minimalistic design. Shop functionality is also offered, with the option of full integration/redirect to the vendors basket or shipping of an e-mail order for simpler setups.

MeterMan range setup
Starting up MeterMan is as easy as selecting a name and the dimensions for the racks used in the store. The user is linked to the account on the calling site, so no login is needed.
Easy-to-use interface and simple configuration means, that a store can be up and running with a MeterMan product assortment in only 4 steps.

Rack layout preview
Preview of the racks is "on-the-fly" generated PNG's for portability and printing purposes. Several racks can be shown side by side, and more details will be added on high-res displays.
Using AJAX the previews can be zoomed and the layout position of the products changed instantly.
Automatic fill
The "Fill" function automates the placement of the selected products on the number of racks. The C# algorithm completes in less than 2 sec. for 20 racks, which was well below the targeted max response time for a "real-time" web request.

Print options
Instructions for unboxing deliveries and physically placing the products on racks can be printed out.
Labels can also be made on special paper for the front of the spikes and shelves on the racks. An ActiveX component is used, so to be able to print on special paper with millimeters precision.
Customizable labels
The labels are highly customizable, with a live preview of the result. You can scroll through the products in the range to see how a specific product label will look.
